Coal India Limited (CIL) participated in the prestigious and popular event Republic Day Parade – 2008 by way of Tableau on the theme ‘Energizing India’ in New Delhi on 26 January 2008.

 

Coal India’s float with a large bust of coal miner on its façade – representative of coal mining operations – depicted core activities of CIL and its social relevance. The event was telecast live on the National Network.

Incidentally, Coal India’s was the only tableau that was represented as individual corporate entity.

 

The celebration was attended by Shri P S Bhattacharyya, Chairman, CIL; Shri R Mohan Das, Director (P&IR), CIL and other officials of CIL.
